How to choose the right private bachata teacher in Paris

A private class costs 2-3x more than a group class. The investment must therefore be targeted. Four criteria distinguish a good from an excellent private teacher in Paris:

1. Teaching experience (not just dancing)

Many great dancers are poor pedagogues. Verify the teacher has at least 5 years teaching absolute beginners — that's the real test. A champion who can't explain why a beginner struggles with the basic step won't progress you.

2. Titles and recognition

Official titles (France BachataStars Champion, European Champion, BachataArt world podiums) are a quality proxy: they require years of technical work with top international teachers. But careful: titled ≠ good teacher. Cross-check with criterion 1.

3. Ability to explain the "why"

An excellent private teacher doesn't just show. They explain why the body does this movement, why this connection works, why your error keeps coming back. This "why-driven" pedagogy is what enables progress between classes.

4. The trial class
